This authentic and very rare Louis Vuitton mail trunk, circa 1895’s, features crisp damier canvas (checkered pattern), all brass hardware, and leather trims. The bottom is covered with a zinc plaque, meant to protect the trunk from pest and humidity during intense travels. One of the very first Louis Vuitton and top of the line model. Very good condition considering age. Wears and marks, signs of use and travels. Perfect to be used as a coffee table, storage element, nightstand, or conversation piece.
