This authentic Louis Vuitton mail trunk, circa 1895’s, features damier canvas (checkboard), all leather and brass hardware. Top of the line model. Famous provenance and original owner being John Pierpont Morgan know as “J.P” Morgan. World-famous banker J.P. Morgan, founded the banking company J.P. Morgan in 1871. Good condition considering age – Wears and marks, signs of use and travels. Damier canvas pieces in that specific format are increasingly rare. Perfect to be used a center piece, side or coffee table.
